Okay! It is that time of year where we throw some wood in the fireplace and sit back on the couch with a hot beverage in hand and our favorite holiday movie rolling on the screen in front of us.
Each year a lot of us have the same debate as to which Christmas movies are the best and deserve to be on the must watch list. Now, just a friendly reminder that this is only an opinion.
There are so many great holiday movies out there that it is honestly hard to decide which are the best, but below is a list of the movies that need to be watched before the holiday season has come and gone. What Christmas movies do you have on your must watch list?
1) It's a Wonderful Life
Top shelf! The story in It's a Wonderful Life is arguably the most amazing out of all of the Christmas movies. There is a lot that we can take away from this movie and is something that we need to be reminded of each and every year. This 1946 film is unmatched by any other holiday movie and deserves to be watched time and time again.
2) Home Alone
KEVIN! Every year you should watch Home Alone. It is the right amount of humor, meaning, and intriguing to watch every year. The only possible problem with this movie is that it gives some creative ideas for pranks to pull on people you may not like or family members.
3) A Christmas Story
Ohhhh we all know this has to make the list. It is constantly on TV, but growing up almost every kid knew what it was like to want a Red Ryder. That famous line sticks with us all, "You'll shoot your eye out, kid." Our family enjoys this one so much that we have been to the house in Cleveland, Ohio where a lot of the movie was filmed. Also, the infamous leg lamp is a perfect gift to get somebody if you're looking for a laugh.
4) Miracle on 34th Street
Personally, I am a bigger fan of the original film from 1947, but the 1994 remake deserves some praise as well. If you have time then I suggest watching them both and comparing which one was better. This film helps bring back the magical feeling of Christmas that we tend to lose as we grow older.
5) White Christmas
This is movie gold! If you are not a big musical fan that's okay, but this is a classic that cannot be left out on a Christmas watch list. When the movie came out in 1954 people knew this one was going to stick around for a while. Here we are in 2021 and it's still a Christmas movie powerhouse. Bing Crosby is phenomenal and the story from start to finish is fantastic.

- The Polar Express (Tom Hanks bringing the Christmas spirit back)
- Die Hard (It's definitely a Christmas movie)
- Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carrey is so awesome)
- Christmas with the Kranks (Underrated, but still a great option)
- Jingle All The Way (One of Arnold's best)
- Jack Frost (Can be creepy, but a cool movie)
- A Christmas Carol (Still can be pretty scary)
- National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (Just a goofy movie like all of the other Lampoon movies)
