Real Estate Agent Relaxation Guide

It is no secret that real estate agents are extremely hard working professionals. Without their efforts there would be a lot of people that may never be able to find and actually score their dream home. All of us at Direct Lenders, LLC appreciate agents and that's why we created this real estate agent relaxation guide.

This guide is meant to give a few options for agents to escape every day life for a little while and practice certain habits that may help with relaxation. There are tons of people around the world that are overworked and don't take advantage of opportunities to relax. Let's change that!

In order to help out all of our friends that have worked many long hours to support our team and our clients we have detailed some rules to help real estate agents R.E.L.A.X.

R: Right Place

Choosing the right place to vacation is very important. Understandably, not all of us can spend a fortune on a trip just to relax. That is why it is okay to find a little Airbnb in the mountains somewhere for a little weekend retreat. If money isn't a major concern then test some of the options we have below, such as heading to the Maldives! Pick the place that best fits your wants and needs. Don't choose a place that somebody suggested if that place doesn't match who you are.

E: Exit The Digital World

It's time to turn off your phones and unplug. The high pitched ping of our phones needs to be muted every once in a while. If you want to experience pure relaxation then make sure to get off social media, close out those emails and place that overpriced digital device on do not disturb. As real estate agents it is hard to shut that phone off. We definitely get that. It needs to happen every once in a while. One life is all we get, so don't miss out on being present in a relaxing moment because you have a client that just appeared in your pipeline.

L: Lose The Work Talk

The best way to escape from the every day life is to not talk about it. Go do something new and leave work at work. It is crucial to your relationships and well-being to separate your work life from your private life. Most people only talk about their work. A lot of times one of the first questions people ask others is what they do for a living. Wouldn't it be nice to sit down and talk about family and funny memories? It's time to find new things to talk about.

A: Allow Yourself

One of the hardest issues in the battle to relax is actually allowing ourselves to do so. You weren't placed on this earth to never take a break. Give yourself permission to shut down every now and then to recharge your batteries. It is okay not to answer those emails that roll in at 9:47 pm on a Sunday. Take some time to do things that don't cause stress. You are allowed to relax.

X: X-Ray

Take a look at yourself inside and out. Sometimes we need to evaluate our lives to figure out what is actually important to us. Many people place their list of priorities in a controversial order that can cause a ton of stress. No, relaxing shouldn't be your number one priority, but your health should be up pretty high on that list. Once you evaluate yourself and your priorities then make sure to be real with yourself. That brutal honesty will provide you with the chance to learn from what you've been doing and make those important changes.

Note: Relaxing is important to living a long and healthy life.
